Meet Kingsley ...
Here I am with my favorite toy :)
Kingsley is my 2005 MINI Cooper S ... hyper-blue with racing stripes and a white roof.
We've been burning rubber together since December 13, 2004. Mostly in and around Pittsburgh, with the occasional trip to Philadelphia and New York. Just before his second birthday we passed 10k miles on our way to Philly for Turkey Day.
I'm 1.92m tall (that's 6'4" for the metrically challenged), and I have no problem fitting into my car. The back seat can get a bit tight, but that's why I'm driving.
A few times I went to driving events at the BeaveRun race track to give Kingsley the kind of exercise he can't get on public roads ... autocross, learning to drive in slippery conditions, hot laps on the track ... It's been a lot of fun, and I've learned a lot about what a car can and can't do!
Here are some videos from an autocross event in the fall of 2005 (note the helmet inside the car!). These absolutely must be watched with sound!
