hear me out, Audrey Beth Stein's debut CD, features readings of three short stories which continue to explore the author's trademark themes of Judaism and sexuality.

Recorded at Club Passim and Emerson College, the stories on hear me out center on the subtleties of relationships. "When I Got a Catcher For My Rye and All" explores a young girl's admiration for a sensitive camp counselor. The narrator of "Chlorophyll is a Catalyst" comes to grips with the flaws of her best friend. And in "I, Emily," a rebellious sibling observes an "almost-perfect" sister expressing parts of herself that fall outside their family's traditional boundaries.

"Stein's writing style is cutting in its honesty. The relationships she uncovers support her clear-cut view on life...her words are easy to comprehend and the stories are easy to relate to. [A]n accomplished writer." -- MzVibe.com
