I saw this web-site belonging to an NGO (!) in UK called "Embargoed" a while ago at http://www.embargoed.org . Apparently today they held a demonstration, Volkan newspaper was saying that CTP was ignoring Turkish Cypriot rights by not supporting it -- I guess they are used to "government sponsored non-governmental organizations" (oxymoron) so much that it suprises them --. Then later in the day I read Yeniduzen newspaper praising this demonstration. So I got more curious. First of all there is no embargo against Turkish Cypriots. Instead, due to incompetent, corrupt policies of decades and because of the illegality and non-recognition of TRNC, there are obvious limitations. Those limitations could have been by-passed where relevant (i.e. who cares about soccer matches if basic trade and travel can happen) and were by-passed for decades until they were fed up with corruption, fake health certificates etc. Anyway, this organization could have been worthwhile to support had they been honest about supporting Turkish Cypriot human rights. But their fake, twisted version of history is more than enough to tell you that it is not the case, for example, see http://www.embargoed.org/history.php : "Firstly, you must understand that Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots have a different language, religion, and culture and there has never been a single Cypriot identity". Tell me how that is relevant for human rights.
