How we Met
Brad and Katherine met in a preceptorial (non-credit course that meets twice per semester) at Penn. Brad thought Katherine was cute, so he asked her out over after the class was over. Katherine thought there was no harm in a casual date, so she said yes. Our first date was October 15, 2000, to La Terrasse restaurant in Philadelphia. The relationship started out slowly, but over time we got to know each other. On Katherine's birthday (June 6th, 2001), we finally said "I love you" for the first time. It has been wonderful since!

The Proposal
Brad planned a romantic day for Sunday, May 30th, 2004.
We went to the Italian market and bought supplies for a picnic, including bread, cheese, meat, fruit, and nutella. We decided to eat in the park in front of our apartment, because that was simple, and Katherine was a little sick with a cold. It was really nice, very yummy, and extremely romantic. When we decided we were done eating, Brad proposed with a beautiful diamond ring. In shock, Katherine managed to breathe out a "yeah". For dinner we went to the Fountain restaurant at the Four Seasons. We arrived early for our reservations, but when they realized we were newly engaged, they gave us complimentary glasses of champagne. Brad ordered the 6 course prix fix menu, with a wine flight. Katherine ate food a la carte. The food and service were absolutely amazing. When dessert was brought out, the chef had written "congratulations" on our plates.
