Basketball Season 2003

This year, many pictures were taken due to Koosh (he put them online afterwards).
The basketball team got off to a good but shaky pre-season start before going undefeated in the league. However, while the team went undefeated, many of the games were very intense and close, especially against Brown, Princeton and Yale, who all finished at the top of the league. Luckily, though, Penn prevailed as usual and got an 11 seed in the NCAA tournament. Unfortunately, they lost in the first round again.
While I was not selected to attend the tournament, I still have a ton of pictures from this season, including my first ever Harvard/Dartmouth basketball trip, which was also my last band roadtrip ever.

Harvard/Dartmouth basketball trip

This was my last band roadtrip, and also my first time on the Harvard/Dartmouth trip. We had a really great time and Koosh took lots of pictures. Hanging out in Boston was fun, but we got upset when the Dartmouth part of the trip was almost cancelled due to snowy/icy weather. Luckily we pressed through, had a safe trip, and won both games.
Jess and Willow So much Penn spirit!

my team One of the things we did on the long bus ride was play "Band survivor". This was most of my team. I made it into the individual part of the game, but was eliminated shortly thereafter.

TRUE! Another Band survivor event.

It is TRUE that Jeff Schiffner plays more minutes than any other player!
(Our team won the basketball trivia round.)

Orange pass It's part of the game! Charlie's just passing me the orange--I swear!

eating saltines Good thing I didn't make it this far. In this event, participants had to devour six saltines as quickly as possible. (It's harder than you think.)

freshmen in the bed Exhausted freshmen (Charlie, Meagan, Rico) relax in Koosh's hotel room after a night of partying with the Harvard band.

Quincy Market The whole group got a big table at Quincy Market in Boston, and lots of people ordered "clam chowdah".

the chair The band found the one Sharper Image store nearby and had fun playing with the gadgets there. This is me in one of those vibrating chairs.

Willow Willow gets her turn now.
