Katherine's Attendants

Maid of Honor: Margaret Sledge Margaret is Katherine's older sister of 3 years. Margaret and Katherine were inseparable as children, yet were constantly fought as well. As soon as Margaret left the house to go to boarding school, the girls never fought again and have remained good friends since. Margaret is currently finishing up her architecture degree at UC Berkeley. She plans on traveling around the world (to India in particular) before starting full-time employment as an architect.

Matron of Honor: Ann Jones Ann is Katherine's older sister of 5 years. Growing up, Ann was Katherine's favorite and most fun teacher and mentor. Ann is currently working at the Way International ministry in New Knoxville, OH. Katherine and Ann are both excited about the prospect of Katherine and Brad moving closer to Ann next year when they attend graduate school. Ann was married in April 2004 to Tim Jones and is a great source of advice for Katherine and Brad's wedding.

Bridesmaid: Ginger Stevens Ginger is Katherine's friend of 21 years. They first met when Katherine was 2 and Ginger was 3 years old. Katherine doesn't even remember the first meeting because she was so young! Ginger and Katherine grew up together almost as sisters and remain close even though they do not see each other as much as they used to. Ginger is currently living in New York City and is an environmental educator.

Bridesmaid: Katy Zandy Katy is Katherine's friend of 13 years. They became tight friends in 5th grade, participating in all school and extra-curricular activities together. They went to Choate Rosemary Hall together and were best friends in high school. They were good at keeping in touch beyond college and still see each other on a fairly regular basis. Katy is currently a 2nd year law student at New York University.

Bridesmaid: Shweta Antani Shweta is one of Katherine's best friends from Penn. As a fellow drummer from the Penn Band, Shweta and Katherine are on the same rhythmic wavelength and share everything musical with each other. They were also roommates for two years of college. Shweta works at Penn as a reseacher in neurology, and plans to go to medical school in the fall of 2006. She is from Queens, NY. As the only bridesmaid living in Philadelphia, Shweta has been a great help to Katherine for groundwork (like looking for bridesmaid dresses.)

Bridesmaid: Kate Healy Kate is Katherine's other best friend from Penn. Kate played the trumpet and french horn in the Penn Band, which is how the two met. They were roommates in their sophomore year, but after getting no work done (because they had too much fun talking to each other) they decided they couldn't room together again while in school. Kate and Katherine went on a big roadtrip after graduating from college in the summer of 2003. Kate has been an enormous help in the wedding planning, and has taken complete charge in the planning of Katherine's elaborate bachelorette party. Kate is a nurse living in New York City. She is from Middletown, NJ.

Bradley's Attendants

Best Man: Scott Moore Scott is Brad's younger brother of two years. Scott is an artist (http://www.nucleararms.us), and his paintings have contributed enormously to the character in Brad and Katherine's apartment. He currently lives in Rosemont, PA, so Brad and Katherine get to see him a lot.

Groomsman: Jeff Schreiber Jeff is Brad's friend from childhood. Brad was one of Jeff's best men in his wedding last year. Jeff and Brad will share July 4th weekend as their anniversary -- Jeff married his wife Joanna on July 3rd of 2004. Jeff and Joanna live in their new house in Aldan, PA.

Groomsman: John Lee John is one of Brad's closest friends from Penn. They were in Kappa Alpha Society and the International Affairs Association together. John is finishing up his law degree at Penn this year, and is moving to Washington D.C. after that.

Groomsman: Trevor Emory Trevor is Brad's friend from childhood. His parents live just two houses away from Brad's parents, so the two grew up together along with Jeff. Trevor is studying to get his MD and MBA from Tufts in Boston.

Groomsman: Adrian Shieh Adrian is Brad's friend from high school, and both of them went to Penn together and were great friends there as well. Adrian is currently performing research at Rice University in order to earn his PhD in bioengineering.

Groomsman: Mark Hartz Mark is another of Brad's friends from Penn. The two were roommates for a couple years, with Mark usually getting up for work around when Brad was going to bed. Mark is getting his PhD in physics at Pittsburgh.

Groomsman: Dave Roberts Dave is one of Brad's best friends from home. Dave and Brad share a love of sports and jazz music, and have been to the jazz festival in New Orleans together twice. Dave and his wife Katie were married in June of 2004 and have a new house in Villanova near Brad's old neighborhood.
