Our first order of discussion was contemplating whether we can get funding as a religious group, even if we are an official University organization. Heather will check on this and get back to us.
The Spring Fling idea was nixed- we missed the deadline for applying for a table to do tarot readings as a fundraiser. We agreed that it might be best to get ourselves organized and recognized first. Of course, now we may also enjoy Fling on our own terms.
The OTO asked about having an open-house meeting with either us or Drexel for the Philly community; again, since we're not yet official, we think that this may be best to let the Silver Dragon Circle handle, especially with their experience.
We'd like to get into the realm of more social events, since we like to chat so much at meetings. A definite possibility is heading downtown for a Dancing Ferret-organized event to dance, drink, and be merry. Some of these events occur on Wednesday nights- perhaps this could be pre-empted with a Painted Parrot dessert buffet? We will discuss this over e-mail.
Another possibility is a day trip up to New Hope to enjoy all of the witchy stores. Perhaps this could be a venture on a Sunday; again, this will be further discussed over e-mail.
We discussed the possibility of creating a generic "what is paganism?" pamphlet/section of the website- it may be a good idea. However, we would first like to focus on...
...the paperwork meeting. The six of us will meet in the near future to draft a constitution and a mission statement in order to become "official" in the eyes of the University.
