Actually, I can usually "do", because otherwise I wouldn't be able to
teach it to my students. I recently completed work towards an M.S.Ed. and
PA certification to teach English at the secondary level (grades 7-12). I
did my student teaching at University City
High School in Philadelphia. These are some images from my classroom.
While at University City, I taught 9th-grade English from September
through April and 12th grade English from January through April (2001-2002
school year). I leaned towards constructivist theory, as I believe it
allowed the students to make more sense and meaning from what they were
learning.
I tried some online activities with them, too. As we were reading George Orwell's Animal Farm, they did a WebQuest that I created for their class. Overall, I was extremely pleased with the results.
