nce upon a time . . . .
Rockafeller Center This story began in November 1992, three years after "The Velvet Revolution" occurred in the former Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic and Slovakia). The Berlin Wall was brought down and Communism dismantled. After many years of oppression and restricted travel to only eastern European countries, a curious and determined young lady from Prague with virtually no comprehension of English set out for the land of opportunity . . . America!

Now roll the clock forward to 1998. After four rewarding years as a brewmaster in Arizona and summers averaging St. Patrick's Day Parade 115+ Fahrenheit, it's time to return to California where the air conditioning is free! For some reason (fate), Sean has chosen Southern California to call home as a sales representative for a start-up company during the technology boom.

Their eyes meet . . .hubba! hubba!

It's a November day in 1998 and Sean is on a sales call to Neutrogena to establish a new account. While waiting for his client a bombshell wearing high heels with legs to her ears and a smile that would melt butter, catches his eyes. "Yowza! Hubba! Hubba!" he mutters to himself. As she approaches she says, "Hello! My name is Dagmar Praguer and … (I have no idea what she said after that because my heart was beating so loud!)." Thus was the beginning of a beautiful business friendship that lasted two years (due to other commitments).

Fate . . . .

Believe it or not, two years has now passed and for some reason only known to the powers that be, out of the blue, Sean sends Dagmar an email to touch base only to find that she will be leaving Neutrogena soon. It is often said, timing is everything. Well, coincidentally, with both of our previous "commitments" no more, we met for the dinner that set our hearts in motion and sealed our fate. The fireworks from that kiss would make D.C. on the 4th look like a family picnic!!! For the next six months, we were commuting 120 miles roundtrip between Orange County and Los Angeles two to three times a week so we could see each other.

Believe it or not, twenty-four years earlier when Sean was traveling with his family in Europe at age 11, a strange thought whispered to him, "Someday, you're going to marry a woman from Europe." Spooky! I didn't even like girls yet!

I hope you like to travel . . . .

Early on, Dagmar's passion for travel made quite an impact on my life and continues to in so many ways to this day. In a moments notice, we have been known to go somewhere like Ireland with no reservations! Dagmar truly is my partner and best friend. I cannot wait to marry my little Princess from Prague. . . .

Where are we today?

Currently, Dagmar and Sean live in an apartment overlooking the marina in Marina del Rey, California.

Dagmar is the Senior Category Manager for Mattel Toy Company headquartered in El Segundo. She has been there for over ten months now and has enjoyed the dynamic environment and the opportunity to play with toys at work!

Sean has made the transition to real estate and has finally found his passion as a broker in the mortgage business. So, if you are looking to refinance or purchase or just need some helpful advice on real estate, give him a call! He's always willing to help!
