Dr. Patricio A. Espinoza Vallejos

A research and development professional with experience developing a broad range of technologies. Developed miniature devices and associated technologies for fluidic applications using glass-ceramic composite tapes. Background in semiconductor processes, metrology, and technology development.  Currently the director of process development at Quadraspec, Inc. where he develops label-free multiplexed interferometric assays.  Strong interest in modeling (Comsol, Matlab) and developing multidisciplinary systems.

University of Pennsylvania, Visiting Scholar 2004.

Agere Systems Senior Process Engineer, Metrology

Ph.D. obtained in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania

Continued collaboration with Dr. Jorge Santiago, Dr. Furlan, and Dr. Nicolas Beltran in ceramic-based devices, sensors and low temperature co-fired ceramics (LTCC).

Dr. Espinoza has contributed to the FONDEF project named Automation of Mineral Processing  for the Chilean mining industry. He developed algorithms to detect the overload of mills.

Research advisor for several Sunfest projects at the University of Pennsylvania.

Development of instrumentation software for logs scanners of Tecnología Integral , and geometrical aberration correction for the IR thermographic system Tempera.
