What's New?
Universal to release ExoSquad on DVD (1/11/09)
It's the news for which we've all been waiting. A couple of attentive fans
pointed me to http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Exosquad-Season-1/11085,
which reports that Universal plans to release season 1 of ExoSquad on DVD
on April 14th. Hopefully it will sell well enough to make a release of
season 2 worthwhile.
Episodes streaming online (8/11/08)
A friend has informed me that most of the first season is available at
http://www.hulu.com/exosquad.
Episode downloads available (9/8/05)
A fellow fan called Gozer has created a Torrent at
www.torrentspy.com and
www.mininova.org with all the
episodes of exosquad in it. It may not be available very long, however.
New Video Trading Cards available (7/14/05)
Thanks to James Sorenson, Video Trading Cards are now available on the MultiMedia
page for Alec
DeLeon,
Wolf Bronski, and
Vince
Pellegrino. These have been hard to find because each only appeared
at the end of one episode (Under The Skin for DeLeon, Night of the
Traitor for Bronski, and The Perfect Warrior for Pellegrino).
Episode files being posted at http://www.smartbombstudios.com/public/Exosquad/
(6/14/05)
ExoSquad episodes are currently being made available by Derek W. at http://www.smartbombstudios.com/public/Exosquad/.

e-mail your polite request to universalstudios&dreamworks@leemarketing.com
Toongeek no longer offering episodes (7/14/04)
ExoSquad episodes were most recently being made available at www.toongeek.com, but he got a cease
and desist order.
Episode files being posted at www.toongeek.com (3/24/04)
ExoSquad episodes are currently being made available one at a time at www.toongeek.com.
Episode files being posted to alt.binaries.multimedia.cartoons
(6/21/03)
As many of you have noticed, most of the episode download links on my
pages have been down for some time. Fortunately other ExoFans have stepped
up, and many of the episode files are currently being posted to alt.binaries.multimedia.cartoons.
ExoSquad toy designs released as Tech Wars (11/26/01)
Some ExoSquad toy designs have been seen in
various KB/Toy Works stores. Released by Re: PLAY! (TM) with the name Tech
Wars, current Tech-Suits available correspond to the Field Communications,
Aerial Attack, Police Enforcer, Ground Assault, High Speed Stealth, and
Command e-frames (see the Toys page for info
on the originals). Colors and names are slightly to moderately different
from the originals, with remolded pilot figures. The packages do
reference ExoSquad as inspiration.
The backstory is slightly different, with the insurgents being robotic
rather than genetic creations of humanity. Thanks to Thomas Wheeler a
picture of the Command Tech-Suit
(corresponding to the Field Communications E-Frame) is available.
Episode files being posted to alt.binaries.multimedia.cartoons
(6/19/01)
As many of you have noticed, most of the episode download links on my
pages have been down for some time. Fortunately other ExoFans have stepped
up, most recently Lucas Treffkorn, who has posted many of the episode
files to alt.binaries.multimedia.cartoons
over the past couple weeks. Thanks go out to him, Glen Sissak,
SpyBrent2067, and all the others who have made it possible to acquire
episode files.

Many new movie files now available, including episodes
(3/17/00)
Thanks to fellow fan jobuRAVE, many new movie files are now available at
the MultiMedia
page (as well as the contributions page created for
him). Among the files are the opening and ending credits, all (or nearly
all) of the video trading cards, and the first three episodes of the
ExoSquad saga. The intention is to make three episodes available each
month, so download these while you have the chance and check back
often.
As always, thanks also to Brendan Reilly, maintainer of the TransFormers Archive,
whose servers host all these files and more.

ExoFighter
box art.
All episode synopses complete (12/28/99)
A long synopsis for Under the Skin has just been added to the episodes
page.
This was the last episode without a long synopsis, so its completion marks
the end of over three years of work. Thanks to Adam Keith and Wayne Wirfs
for providing some (twelve and three, respectively) of the summaries.
As all the episodes now have long synopses, the asterisks on the episode
page are gone.
More E-Frame toy images (12/6/99)
Joseph Amato has added to his contributions page with pictures of the
Field Communications
E-Frame and the
High Speed Stealth
E-Frame.
Command E-Frame toy image (12/5/99)
Joseph Amato has added to his contributions page with a picture of
Phaeton in his Command
E-Frame.
ExoSquad for Sega Genesis emulator, and an Aerial E-Frame image
(12/4/99)
A fellow fan known as Wyrmfoe has made available files for the Genesis emulator
(.zip, 414k) and the ExoSquad game (.zip,
769k). Instructions can be found at the ExoSquad-themed
Computer Enhancements page.
Thanks also to Joseph Amato for a picture of J.T. Marsh and the
Aerial Attack E-Frame toy, which is available at the contributions page newly created in his
honor.
Rendering of Martian landscape, by Casey Ross (11/18/99)
Thanks to Casey Ross, a rendering of
the Martian landscape at the end of Defying Olympus is now avalable
at his contribution page.
Another episode synopsis added (10/9/99)
A long synopsis for Flesh Crawls has just been added to the episodes
page.
ExoSquad theme now available as mp3 (8/29/99)
A fellow fan who goes by the handle KeLL has been kind enough to
contribute a file of the ExoSquad
theme in mp3 format.
ExoSquad-themed StarCraft level (8/24/99)
Some ExoSquad themed levels for the computer game StarCraft have been
created by Casey Ross, and these have been added to the ExoSquad
Enhancements for Computer Games page, accessable from the ExoFans
page.
Another episode synopsis added (8/11/99)
A long synopsis for Dragon's Rock has just been added to the episodes
page.
The main FAQ page has been revised to include
direct references to specific questions on the subpages.
A separate page for the Ground Assault
E-Frame has been added to the Technical
Files page.
Movie files once again available (7/11/99)
As a number of you have noticed, server problems have caused most of the
files on the MultiMedia
page to be unavailable for some time now.
Well thanks to Brendan Reilly, maintainer of the TransFormers Archive,
those files are once again on an active server and available for download
from the MultiMedia
page.
ExoSquad font available on Enhancements page (2/8/99)
Thanks to Casey Ross and Tim Grillo, an ExoSquad font is available at the
ExoSquad-themed
Computer Enhancements page.
New sound clips available on MultiMedia page (1/17/99)
Thanks to Casey Ross and Tim Grillo, a number of new sound files are now
available on the MultiMedia
page. The zip file is a collection of numerous wav files, two of which are
available separately. I've created a Ross/Grillo contributions
page, which also includes a gif file.
ExoSquad mailing lists functional again (1/5/99)
The mailing lists are once again in working
order.
ExoSquad mailing lists down; alteration to Technical Files page
(1/3/99)
There are currently some problems with the server that runs the ExoSquad
mailing lists. Therefore no one should bother
trying to send mail to either of the lists, or make attempts to subscribe
or unsubscribe. Once the lists are fixed, I'll update this news page and
send an e-mail to the exosquad list.
As I've mentioned, the Technical
Files page is far from complete. But I've done a little more work, and
as a hint of what's coming it now links to a page for the Aerial
Attack E-frame. In time I will have similar, hopefully more elaborate,
pages for each e-frame.
ExoSquad icons available; new Technical Files page (12/21/98)
Thanks to Autobot Prowl, some ExoSquad
icons are now available on the ExoSquad-themed
Computer Enhancements page.
Because different people (both on the mailing list and e-mailing to myself
personally) have requested technical information regarding e-frames and
the like, I've made what I have available at an E-Frame
Technical Files page. Developing this page is my next big project,
but it isn't close to being finished. I'm only making it available because
of the requests, although it does have quite a bit
of information already (especially with regard to weaponry).
Another episode synopsis added. (11/8/98)
Thanks to Wayne Wirfs, a long synopsis for The Art of War has just been added to the episodes
page.
ExoSquad-themed StarCraft level (10/8/98)
The creation of an ExoSquad themed level for the computer game StarCraft
by Greg Holst has prompted me to create an ExoSquad
Enhancements for Computer Games page, accessable from the ExoFans
page. Right now his contribution is the only item on the page, but if
anyone wishes to add anything else I'd be happy to accept.
New avi file. (9/17/98)
Thanks to Chris Carswell there is a new avi video clip available at the
slightly redesigned Multimedia page.
In this clip the ExoFleet
at Tethys receives word of the Neo assault on the Homeworlds, as seen
in "Hidden
Terrors".
The redesign is in part because Chris was also kind enough to recommend some
good sites for downloading various applications to view the different
video types.
Another episode synopsis added. (9/13/98)
A Long synopsis for The
Lost Patrol, has just been added to the episodes
page.
Another episode synopsis added. (8/30/98)

Dogs of War, has just been added to the episodes
page.
Another episode synopsis added. (8/23/98)
A Long synopsis for The
Greatest Fear, has just been added to the episodes

The Long synopsis for Pirate's
Ransom, which I recently realized (with some help from a vigilant
viewer) had some lost sections, should now be fixed.
Another episode synopsis added. (8/15/98)
A Long synopsis for Ultimate
Weapon, has just been added to the episodes
page.
Another episode synopsis added. (8/8/98)
A Long synopsis for Night of
the Traitor, has just been added to the episodes

Thanks to Chris Carswell there is now an mpeg version of the
Second Season Opening Credits. This is his eigth contribution to the
Multimedia
page.
Thanks to Wayne Wirfs, a long synopsis for Winged Fury has just been added to the episodes
page.
Another episode synopsis added. (8/2/98)
Thanks to Wayne Wirfs, a long synopsis for Fire Ship has just been added to the episodes
page.
Another episode synopsis added. (8/1/98)
A Long synopsis for The First
Step, featuring the introduction of Thrax and Yuri Stavrogan, has just
been added to the episodes
page.
Cast and Creator Comments page added. (7/28/98)
In the course of maintaining this page I've been fortunate enough to get
in contact with some of the people behind ExoSquad the show. Those that
were nice enough to respond to my e-mails often
answered questions and provided insights. I've thought that perhaps
fellow fans would like to see some of what they've said, and hope that since
these people didn't mind me sharing with the mailing list they won't mind
this Cast and Creator Comments page.
Plenty of others have written to me, but none of them really said
anything that was the sort of thing I'd put up there. I'm
going to try to contact them and get them to contribute a few words.
Another episode synopsis added. (6/15/98)
A Long synopsis for Expendable
has just been added to the episodes
page.
Movie files may not be available over summer (5/15/98)
(Disregard the message below, I was able to find a place for the files
and so they should be available indefinately. The links are now new, if
there are any problems with them let me know.)
Because of circumstances surrounding my graduation, it seems possible
that many of the video clips at the Multimedia
page will not be available over the summer. So if you want to download or
watch any of them, do it in the next week.
New pictures of the Field Repair e-frame available (5/8/98)
Thanks to Zuckuss there are now available multiple pictures of the
Field Repair e-frame. They're available at his contributions page.
New pictures from the ExoSquad/Robotech toy lines added (4/23/98)
Pictures of the following toy boxes/toys on card are now available at the Complete
Toy List: Invid TM Scout
Ship, VeritechTM Fighter,
and Lieutenant Colleen O'Reilly.
New pictures from the ExoSquad/Robotech toy line added (4/19/98)
I recently found what may have been intended as boxart for the Robotech
branch of the ExoSquad toy line. Pictures for the VeritechTM Hover Tank, ZentraediTM Tactical Battlepod and the InvidTM Shock Trooper are available at the Complete
Toy List.
I have also updated the Toy FAQ to answer questions about the connection
between ExoSquad and Robotech. I have recently been in contact with Ron
McPherson of From Art to Design, Inc. He has done work for Playmates
Toys, Inc. including art for the toy boxes in the ExoSquad/Robotech
series. He responded to me:
"Re: why ROBOTECH was added to EXOSQUAD line. MONEY and Story extensions
for the animated series. PLAYMATES Toys needed line extensions and Universal
needed more storys so they licensed the old ROBOTECH characters to add to
EXOSQUAD because the were an acceptibly close match Up."
Another episode synopsis added. (4/11/98)
Thanks to Adam Keith, a long synopsis for The Fall of the Neo sapien
Empire Part 3: The Last Jump has just been
added to the episodes
page, completing the collection of summaries for the war-ending
five-parter The Fall of the Neo sapien Empire story.
More episode synopses added, new pictures. (3/21/98)
Thanks to Adam Keith, a long synopsis for One Small Step has just been added. He has
also added a second synopsis for Fifth Column. The page about the ExoSquad Sega Genesis game now has a few
screengrabs thanks to a tip from LilDragon. If you'd be interested in
showing your support for getting ExoSquad back on the air you might want to
try and e-mail the Cartoon Network at ToonNet@aol.com
Another episode synopsis added. (3/12/98)
A Long synopsis for Pirate's
Ransom has just been added to the episodes
page.
Another episode synopsis added. (3/11/98)
A Long synopsis for The
Embassy has just been added to the episodes
page.
Another episode synopsis added. (3/10/98)
A Long synopsis for The
Gathering has just been added to the episodes
page.
New fan-fiction story, Character Appearances Chart completed
(2/3/98)
A new fan-fiction story, The Eltorian
Incursion, has appeared on the Fan-Fiction
page.
The Character Appearances Chart now has all
the episodes listed and appearances marked, though I still haven't had the
chance to go through a second time and revise. I doubt it's perfect, but
if you're looking for episodes a favorite character was in it should
serve that purpose well enough.
New mpeg file available. (1/14/98)
Thanks to Steven Poirier there is now available an mpeg file of the
Original First-Season Opening Credits (12,432K). It's available at
the Multimedia
page and Steven Poirier's contributions page.
Another episode synopsis added. (1/6/98)
A Long synopsis for The Fall of the Neo sapien Empire Part 4: A
Night Before Doomsday has just been added to the episodes page.
Another episode synopsis added. (1/5/98)

River (the episode in which Nara Burns has her DNA experimented with)
has just been added to the episodes page.
More episode synopses added. (12/23/97)
Long synopses for the final two episodes of the series, The Fall of the Neo
sapien Empire Part 5: Abandon
Hope and Beyond
Chaos have just been added.
New fan-fiction stories, mailing list updates (12/10/97)
A couple new fan-fiction stories have appeared on the Fan-Fiction page.
Also the ExoSquad mailing lists are being
moved to new addresses. Information on the new subscription procedures is
now available. If you are already a member of one of the lists,
don't worry because you've been signed up for the new one automatically.
The old address will remain active for about another month to give
everyone a chance to develop new habits.
Chronicles of Terra excerpts available (9/28/97)
The
Chronicles of Terra, vol. V page has excerpts from an
encyclopedia of the ExoSquad future (written by me). It contains items on
things from Auto-Mutation Syndrome to the Pirates. Some information is
new, some recycled (though usually the recycled stuff is redone to give
it a more encyclopedic style).
Help get ExoSquad back on TV page, a fanfic continues, a new pic
(9/22/97)
Due to recent discussions on one of the ExoSquad
Mailing Lists I have created a Help
get ExoSquad back on TV page. It is accessible from the ExoFans
page.
Also new is a continuation of LilDragon's The T'quan Saga.
And I've added a picture from the RoboTech toy line of the Tactical Battlepod.
ExoSquad MUSH no more (9/12/97)
For those who were wondering about the ExoSquad MUSH I have listed on the
MUSH page, I received this update from those
involved:
"To all those that were interested in the Exo-Squad Mush, I regret to
inform you that it is no more. The admin after several meetings have
voted to redirect the theme of the mush. Due both to lack of player
interest, as well as lack of people wishing to help make the mush a
reality. Many elements of exosquad will be incorporated into the new
mush though."
Sega Genesis game page (9/3/97)
As you may or may not know, an ExoSquad video game was created for the
Sega Genesis system about two years ago. I've created a
page that covers the storyline for people who don't have it. For
people that do I've listed opponents they should expect to face, and the
passwords to skip a level if you so desire.
General updates on additions. (7/27/97)
An oversight on the cast and crew list has
been corrected. David
Kaye, who provided the voice for Draconis hadn't been listed before.
He now is, and there is a picture to go with it.
A new piece of fan-fiction is
now available. The first two installments of The T'quan Saga by LilDragon are now
available, more likely to follow soon.
I finally got around to updating the FAQ question about the possibility
of ExoSquad being continued (basically that it doesn't look likely), but
that's not a big change.
Also I've been going through the character
appearances chart to try to make it more accurate and more
descriptive. Don't expect it to be done anytime soon (though if anybody
out there actually cares about it let me know and I might work on it
seriously).
Another episode synopsis added. (7/22/97)
A long synopsis for "Trial by Combat"
has just been added.
More episode synopses added. (7/16/97)
Thanks to Adam Keith, long synopses for "Sabotage" and "Abandoned" have just been added. As a
result all of the first season episodes now have scene-by-scene
summaries.
Apologies regarding Gary Chalk Appearance (6/24/97)
It seems I am still jinxed. Gary Chalk has been scratched as a guest at
BotCon '97 due to financial reasons (I don't know what it was
specifically). So feel free to ignore the next (previous by date) news
item.
Gary Chalk Appearance (6/21/97)
I don't know how many of you ExoSquad fans are Transformers fans as well,
but you might be interested to know about BotCon '97, this year's
convention of Transformers fans held in Rochester, NY on July 19 and 20.
Why would you care? Well Gary Chalk, voice of Marsala, Shiva, and probably
a couple others on ExoSquad, is also the voice of Optimus Primal on the
Beast Wars cartoon and will be in attendance. Bob Forward, author of an
ExoSquad episode and coauthor of a couple, is one of the Beast Wars story
editors, and he will also be there.
You can pick up information, including a registration form, at
http://www.noblecan.org/~jhartman/tf/botcon97/botcon97.html
But if you're not interested in Transformers you would probably just
want to show up at the door (it's cheaper but you don't get the extra TF
goodies).
Sorry to pass along this info so late.
More Pictures accompanying Biographies, Episode Guides (6/5/97)
Thanks to Chris Carswell's .avi movies, I have been able to link pictures
of more of the charcters to their respective biographies. The pictures
themselves are listed on his
contribution page as well.
Also I am in the process of making such movies and pictures available or
observable from the relevant episode in the hopes of enhancing the
episode guides. Obviously not many episodes (currently only Pirate
Scourge, A
Traitor Among Us, and The
Brood) will
have such features, but the few that do will have them.
New .avi file, thanks to Chris Carswell (6/3/97)
I was finally able to decode another splendid contribution from Chris
Carswell. This one is .avi movie of the destruction of the ore freighter Danube,
which I am sure many of you remember from "Pirate
Scourge," as the event that caused the Homeworlds Congress to send
the ExoFleet to eliminate the Pirates' Saturn moon bases.
ExoSquad Mailing Lists (6/1/97)
As of today there are two mailing lists dedicated to ExoSquad in
existence. One is supposed to be a forum for discussion, the other a
marketplace for exchanging videocassettes of ExoSquad episodes. You can
get the details of how to subscribe to each list at the ExoSquad
Mailing Lists page which is available from the ExoFan
page.
New pictures (4/30/97)
Today I scanned the cards that accompanied the ExoSquad board game. I
did two scans of each card: the whole card including the quick
biography, and a closeup of the portrait. As a result new
images are available: J.T. Marsh, J.T. Marsh biography card, Maggie Weston biography card, Marsala, Marsala biography card, Alec DeLeon, Alec DeLeon biography card, and the
design on the card back of High Speed Stealth
E-Frames leaving Earth. The closeup of Weston that I did got kind of
screwed up, hopefully I'll have another chance to get it soon.
These are all available from the Images page,
and the bio cards are now the picture links from the respective names on
the ExoFleet
Dossier page which is accessable from the ExoFleet roster.
ExoSquad newsgroup will not be created at this time. (4/23/97)
About three weeks ago I proposed the creation of an ExoSquad newsgroup in alt.config (see next news entry). To attempt
to rouse support, I e-mailed at least thirty or forty fans, and have had a
notice on my web page for three weeks. Seeing as how only two people posted
in support of the idea, I am unenthused by the reaction. Therefore I've
decided not to create a newsgroup at this time.
I will likely make another attempt in September or so. The summer is
typically a dead time for many newsgroups anyway (with college students
going home and losing net access), so it's probably for the best that it
not be created now. Any further attempts will of course be advertised on
the main page, with e-mail notices to some fans I would expect to support
the idea (not that they did this time, with the exception of the two
whom I would like to thank). If you would support the idea, let me know.
ExoSquad newsgroup proposed (4/5/97)
I have recently proposed the creation of an ExoSquad newsgroup in alt.config. If you would be interested in
participating in such a newsgroup, you should post to alt.config
supporting the idea. If you have any suggestions, those should also be
posted. The subject of the thread I started is: PROPOSAL:
alt.tv.exosquad.
More episode synopses added. (4/1/97)
Thanks to Adam Keith, long synopses for "Target:
Earth" and "Scorched Venus" have just been added. As a
result over half of the episodes now have scene-by-scene summaries.
Background information on the different types of Neos (3/31/97)The
Neo genus contains background information on the different types of Neo:
Neo sapien, Neo mega, Neo warrior, and Neo lord. It is not yet fully
completed, but is pretty far along. It is accessable from the
Universe page, and designed to help familiarize newcomers with some
information integral to ExoSquad.
Added in the past two days were a couple more Fan-Fiction
stories.
Complete toy list (3/28/97)
Now available is what I hope is a complete
list of all the ExoSquad toys
ever made. It is accessable from the Promotional Toy
List. I know I don't have all the RoboTech toys listed, if you notice
any others that are missing, please let me know.
Want to acquire toys, videos? (3/18/97)
A fellow fan named George has been kind enough to offer to copy episodes,
or pick up ExoSquad toys that are on sale at a nearby Kay-Bee. His phone
number is 815-877-4270 and voice mail is 815-870-3334.
The episode guide for "The
Perfect Warrior" was also completed. Some more names have been added
to the Cast and Crew list to correct some
oversights.
Movie Info (3/18/97)
I have recently corresponded with Frank Shin, Executive in
Charge of Overseas Production for ExoSquad, and he sent me the following:
"To answer your questions regarding the rumor in making the Exosquad, I
have not heard from Universal that they are going ahead with it. It was
discussed in the past (about 2 years ago?) but discussion seemed to
faded away. I will let you know if anything of silimar discussion
develops."So apparently last February's announcement by Playmates
Toys that there was to be an ExoSquad movie was premature. Or at least if
such plans are in the works they don't involve the original animation
team.
More episode synopses added. (3/16/97)
Long synopses for "Miracle", "Dream War", and "The
Perfect Warrior" have just been added.
This page to track revisions in these web pages. (2/14/97)
The original purpose of this page was to provide a forum for semi-official
announcements regarding ExoSquad. But as these pages have grown, and apparently
attracted a following, I thought it would be useful to make it possible for
regular visitors to quickly check to see if there have been any changes or
additions.
From now on the main page will note the last time a change was made to any of
my own ExoSquad pages (i.e., I won't keep track of when other ExoFans
pages are updated, though I may have links to them). You can then check this
page, where I will state what the addition or change was. I hope that this will
make visiting these pages a more enjoyable experience. For the next few weeks
the revisions will be listed below, so that everyone will have the chance to notice
the above comments first. After that the most recent updates will be listed
at the very top.
To this end I suppose I should tell you that I just updated
the FAQ so that it is divided by topics covered. A few new
questions that I have been asked quite a few times recently have also
been added.
Added on 2/15 were a couple extra links from the ExoFans page. One lists ExoSquad MUSHes (I found
one, attempting to locate another I know of), another lists people who
have contributed to these pages.
Added on 2/16 was a page that lists links to different sites run by the
people who made ExoSquad (Univeral and Playmates Toys) as well as sites
that may soon have ExoSquad material. It can be accessed from the main
page, the link is Company Sites.
Added on 2/17 were a few more pictures
courtesy of Gary Anderson. They are of accessable from the contributions page. I've also linked some more
pictures from the roster pages, so that
when examining the biographies you can see pictures of the characters and
e-frames.
Added on 2/19 were episode links from the page of Season 2 quick summaries. I've also added a
chart of Pirate ships, but it doesn't
really have much.
As of 2/22 the link to the Character
appearances chart now connects to a simple ascii chart, rather than
the hard-to-read monstrosity in table form. It is still possible to reach
it from the new chart page, though, in case you liked it better.
On 2/28 another story was added to the Fan-Fiction
page. In the meantime I've also made aesthetic changes to the Episodes list, but no new info.
I've also expanded the character
appearances chart somewhat, but it still isn't complete.
No longer being televised? (9/18/96)
The cable network USA, which has been carrying ExoSquad since end of
production of original episodes, will apparently no longer televise it.
ExoSquad is no longer listed as part of its Action Extreme Team, and is
not anywhere on the schedule.
I'm hoping to contact them to confirm it, perhaps even to find out who
has the rights to the show. They may simply be giving it a rest, and will
bring it back in a few months, I don't know. They've done stuff for
Sci-Fi Channel before, who would seem to be naturals to pick up ExoSquad
(it's not listed in their September scedule, though).
Pretty much I'm just going to try to write to a bunch of people to find
out what's going on, and hopefully make them aware of the show's
following if I can.
Time Change (5/5/96)
About a month ago the cable network USA changed the time it showed
ExoSquad on Sunday from 10:30 AM (ET) to 9:00 AM. It now seems that they
have returned the show to the 10:30 AM timeslot. Just how permanent this
timeslot is I don't know. If I can get their address I'm going to write
to complain about the inconsistancy.
ExoSquad is also shown Saturdays at 11:30 AM, and this timeslot has been
stable.
Time Change (4/13/96)
As you may or may not know, the cable network USA has been televising ExoSquad as
part of its Action Extreme Team. ExoSquad is now shown at 9:00 AM ET on Sundays
(a change from 10:30 AM). ExoSquad is still shown Saturdays at 11:30 AM
ET as well.
ExoSquad Movie! (2/16/96)
According to Playmates Toys, Inc. (the company that manufactures the
ExoSquad toy line) there is a full-length, feature film in development.
I saw no estimates regarding a scheduled release date.
After hearing rumors of it for some time, it is good to get news from an
official source. I have e-mailed Universal Pictures a number of times asking
them to further confirm this, but they have not yet responded.
Update: Having heard nothing since the initial press release, it
is difficult to say if the project has gone ahead. Of concern to me is
the fact that Playmates has apparently canceled the ExoSquad toy line.
Encouraging is the fact that Universal has apparently not forgotten
ExoSquad, as it appears to be making a comeback on their web pages. I
suppose only time will tell.
