This site was made with the intention of giving a bit of perspective to the Verve's recent successes in the UK and the US from someone who was a fan since their first album. All of this came from the early days of the original Verve mailing list on the Raft. The breakup was certainly not a dormant time for Verve discussion and when the news came to us that Nick was back in the band and recording again, I honestly can't say there wasn't a day that many of us can remember being happier. The events that followed were some of the most exciting times musically for us, since we never even dreamed of the Verve reuniting as they did.

This site might also offer a bit of where the Verve get their sound and what other bands some of us Verve fans care for. Hopefully someone can read about the other music on these pages and pick up something they haven't heard before.

Little Gem is not officially endorsed nor should it have to be. I'm simply a huge fan of the Verve and their music and wanted to share some of what I got from the early days of the Raft list. In light of all the hoopla concerning EMI's little note to Ajay and a few other Verve page owners: I have this comment to make.
