Here are certain sites that I subscribe to because they can usually give me a chuckle. If you're looking to pass the time, check out their archives, because you'll probably get a laugh as well.
Dominic Deegan - "Oracle for Hire". A well-written, overarching story. Updated daily.
Bob and George - The first of many sprite-based comics, featuring 8-bit Mega Man.
8-Bit Theater - Another sprite-based comic, featuring 8-bit Final Fantasy.
xkcd - An odd but wonderful combination of romance, sarcasm, mathematics, and language. Updated Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Abstruse Goose - Similar to xkcd, but the comics are usually a bit longer and I find a bit more accessible. Updated every few days.
Brown Sharpie - Math-related comics supposedly inspired by sniffing Sharpie markers. But at least they can be funny. Updated every few days.
Penny Arcade - The most widely known webcomic associated with video games. I find the humor and jokes a bit exclusive, but it is the original. Updated daily.
Ctrl+Alt+Del - A down-to-earth video gamer and his obsessed neurotic roommate. Updated daily.
VG Cats - Parodies of various video games, only with cats in place of people. Updated occasionally.
Fox Trot - A classic Sunday strip brought to the internet for free.
