The Blimp Room Renovation Project

Welcome! We're here to make life easier for future STWingers.

The Blimp Room came into being in 2000 to house the original blimp project, and has accommodated many a project since. It has been natural for the blimp room to experience wear and tear from generations of STWingers' use. However, it's about time for the room to change.

At the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year, STWing began organizing a renovation project to restore the room and make it again a great place to work on projects and study in general. Here's where we're at right now:

February 2015: Eric finished a model of the main Blimp Room and put up some fine-looking renders of what we want it to look like! The proposal group has also completed a revised draft that we've sent to Krimo. Krimo and Jorge have toured some individuals from SEAS around to see if they would be interested in funding this project.

December 2014: We've completed our discussions on how we want each room in the Blimp Room to be used. The item list has stretched a little too far so we're working on retracting it, while we've split into teams to work on the model, list and written proposal.

October 2014: Let's get this show on the road! We've started to talk about how we want to use this space and how we currently use it. We've also done a nice cleanup of a lot of that rotting wood so we can use the lower room again.
